Mammoth Cave National Park
Mammoth Cave National Park was once described as a Grand, Gloomy and Peculiar place. I totally agree with that statement made in 1838 by Stephen Bishop who was a black slave tour guide. Stephen Bishop was one of the greatest early explorers of the cave. The cave system that is underneath the rolling hills and lush green forest of the park is the world’s longest known cave system. Above the 400 plus miles of caverns lies a beautiful hardwood forest filled with flora and wildlife galore. The state of Kentucky with its four glorious seasons brings new adventures and multiple photo opportunities. Mammoth Cave National Park is my home away from home.
